Hmm, I thought it was one of the volcanoes on the Big Island that was the tallest, if you're measuring from the top all the way to the sea floor.

Yeah, it's Mauna Kea.

I'm trying to figure out if they meant from sea level or something more specific because that was the second time I've heard it about Haleakala and not Mauna Kea. (I haven't heard it about Mauna Kea at all actually.)

However, the point is, Hawaii>>the Alps.
