I keep forgetting to turn off comment screening, and I feel it's rude to have someone's comments screened in something like this. I felt you deserved an apology for (what I saw as) an implied offense that wasn't intended.

You might not have seen it that way - and I understand and appreciate that - but I tend to feel that apologizing for an implied slight is better than assuming otherwise.

Short form: I felt that I was rude to you and that deserved apology.
