I'm curious to see how the movie turns out. Good points about the differences between movies and musicals. One difference I've noticed between stage performances and movies is the scenery. On stage, the performers can rely on the audience to fill in the blanks in the scenery with they're imagination. Some productions will have very little scenery beyond what is strictly necessary for the performers. In contrast, movies don't have the luxury of leaving pieces of scenery out.
