We have a day like that here, each year. It's typically right at the end of the Spring rains, in May. Last year, our township alone had more than 370 tons of old computer/electronics junk to toss. I think a lot of businesses were finally clearing stuff out of their storage facilities, too, though.
Anyway, nice to know they do such things elsewhere in the world too.
