Cataracs

Cataracs: I guess I got them, will go to eye dr after Xmas not now. I think I washed my glasses 25 times today before I realized it was my eyes and not (just) my horribley scratched glasses lenses. Oh well I'm legally blind anyway, and dr's have told me I may go all blind. I really don't care beleave it or not ( Read more... )

I hope it's just tired eyes, from those scratchy lenses! (If it's cataracts, you'll be able to actually see the difference in your eyes -- the cornea goes all milky and cloudy.)

Is it in both eyes or just one? Sometimes people get bleeding inside the eye, like Aunt E. did.

Oooh. That might be something that wants attention. Let me take a look ... oh, foo, I just can't find anything specific quickly. (It's frustrating -- I just don't know enough to ask the right question. I suspect a good eye doctor would know what was going on right away.)

But, loss of visual acuity, changes in vision, blurriness, or dimness of vision should always be urgently evaluated by a medical professional, says the Eye & Vision Care Center at health.yahoo.com.

It's worth calling, really it is.

There are some eye problems they can stop, if they catch them right away, but that otherwise could leave you blind (nooooo!), like bleeding problems or inflammation or detachment (double noooo!) of the retina.

And sometimes, people have trouble because of medicines they're on, or ought to be on.?
