Summary: Sam's sick, Dean's panicking and everything's about to go to hell. Sam needs a whole new life, one where his last name isn't Winchester because Winchesters are cursed.
Oh noo... he is dying! Also, I am not sure, since I've never actually seen an end-stage cancer patient, but it's said that the pain in worst before they die. Is that why Sam's in so much pain?
Oh no... Dean, Dean, please do something... :'(
The thoughts that Sam had while he was slipping away were gut-wrenching and beautiful. Poor baby. *huggles Sammy*
You know, there are so many things here that I've written in my fic too -- like Sam wanting Dean to forgive him if he can't fight, and the part with Sam giving up and I am now ashamed of my story, because this is brilliant. BRILLIANT. Wow. WOW. I'm going to rec this story when I post the next chapter, because really, what are people doing, reading my fic? Wow.
Don't you dare be ashamed of your story! It's awesome and we need more cancer!Sam stories!
I definitely see the similarities between our stories as a good thing. It means we know the characters well and have their emotions and dialogue right. Though I won't say no to you rec-ing my fic haha it's great to know how much you're enjoying this!
I always adore your writing and this story is no exception. I was going to read everything in one go and leave a comment at the last chapter, but I have to tell you now:
"Can you… if you can't… Dean wont listen."
Bobby nodded, waiting.
"Can you… make sure he knows it's not his fault? If… you don't find anything. It's okay."
This had me legitimally choking up. I never know which direction you'll take things and I usually like it that way, but this time I really, really hope for a happy end. Because poor Dean, poor Sam, and you even threw in poor Bobby! It's terrible. Terrible but oh so good. ♥.
