It sounds good. I usually use 1-2-3 sugar-fat-flour proportions for shortcake, and imagine 4-8-10 would be more delicious.

I have 'Mrs McGonagal's Cheesecake' in my recipe book for similar reasons. I miss Harvest Supper a lot - five kinds of pudding before the salmonella scare.

First take soft cheese
A pound or more
Give it a squeeze
Until it roars

Now add six eggs
As brown as the river Tay
Then add caster sugar
(Don't substitute hay)

Mash up yon digestives
With a wooden pin
Mix in some cinnamon
And put it in a tin

Place in the fridge
For hours on end
Then eat on the ridge
Or maybe round the bend.
