Walking holiday

I had a week off work last week. The main purpose of the week was to have another go at nightweaning LB. I'd gone back to feeding him when he was ill and then D was too ill to go to him at night for ages and LB just screams the place down if I go to him but don't feed him, whereas he settles for D, and it all went very 4.30ish again. Lovely post - and so good to hear that LB is sleeping more or less through to 5.30! Let's hope he gets into the hang of sleeping longer next! Ellie was a 5am child for a long time; I have post it notes in the baby photo albums to remind me that when she is a never out of bed teenager I really should remember to be grateful!! She sleeps to 6.30/7am now. Hope you catch up with that soon.

I should never make posts that say he's sleeping better. Last night was a real doozy. But he is ill. And so am I, oh joy. Illness really disturbs his sleep. I mean, I know it does most children, but LB far more than PB.

I hope my 'sleep' tag in LJ will serve the same sort of function as your post-it notes when mine are teenagers. We're already realised that PB is going to have to get up earlier than at present from Sept when he starts school, which seems a completely implausible position for us to find ourselves in. Also bad news for me, since I'll also have to get up earlier (and every school day. Gah. A whole new world of lifestyle and childcare issues).
