Go For It Gone - about bloody time

As I was doing the washing up tonight, listening to Radio 4 as is my wont, I was delighted to hear that I was listening to the last ever Go For It, Radio 4's unbearably smug children's programme. Go 4 It did lead to some of the most rewarding in-joke Dead Ringers sketches though.

Oh I missed those, damn. I can imagine that would have been very good. Most of my Radio 4 listening these days is on podcast to combat insomnia, so I avoid things that make me laugh because that wakes me up too much.

Ha! Go For It rubbed me the wrong way, also, and it was always on when I was cooking my Sunday evening meal. (I didn't think I was that regimented, either, but Monday's a work day, so Sunday's a rigorously early night.) DAB radio dragged from the bathroom and set to R7 usually saved me.

I listened to Cat's Whisker's when young, but I was already a Radio 4 fan. It might have been rubbish.
