One of things that I have not enjoyed about my promotion is that most of my time has been spent doing management work instead of technical work. But, as I pass my six-month mark as project manager, I am finding myself getting more and more time back on the technical side of the fence

"Synthesist" is my new favorite word. I'm going to use the hell out of it, because I can think of so many things to which it applies, and it leaves no doubt (in my mind, at least) of exactly what one is supposed to do: bring things together so they work properly and produce what they're supposed to produce. It's an elegant label, and I can't think of a better thing to be.
