"They are happy, aren't they?" Walt asked as they looked at Sarah and her father dancing together, the man's teary eyes focused on his daughter and her baby bump. "I wonder if we'll ever be able to feel the same." She took his hand in her own, and smiled sadly at her future husband, her eyes focused on their joined hands. For a second, she wondered if it was his way of preparing her for an imminent proposal, but then, she dismissed the thought. It was something he could have very well thought about, but she hoped he knew it wasn’t her style at all.

In the end, she allows her lips to greet his and he responds eagerly to her touch. Ben was sound asleep and completely oblivious to the fact that his father had been announced dead twenty-four hours previously. He didn’t even have a clue that the very same man had suddenly reappeared in his life, very much alive and well.
But Sarah could see that. She knew. And she silently led him to her bedroom, where she shed him of his clothes and took him there and then. Explanations could wait until later. For now, all she needed to do was convince herself that he was there and that nobody was going to take him away from her any time soon. He responded to her every whim just as eagerly, almost like he had literally come back from the dead.

He quickly turned away from her. However, it was not fast enough for her to miss the tears that were now filling his eyes.
“You deserve someone better than me, Teresa.”
“What if I don’t want somebody else?”
When their eyes finally met, he wasn’t hiding his feelings anymore. She gestured for him to sit beside her on the bed, and for once he simply yielded to her request. His eyes closed of their own accord as she ran her fingers lightly along the line of his jaw. Then she guided his lips to meet her own.

"You were waiting for me. . . the whole entire time. . . and when I saw it, I pushed you away like a cowardly little boy because I was afraid that I'd lose you. But what I didn't realize was by pushing you away and picking somebody else, I was losing you anyways.
