Trying Menstrual Cups

I have pain/irritation with both normal and organic tampons which I believe is because my flow is light and wanted some advice about whether or not a menstrual cup would work (since they can be lubricated) before I splurge and spend the money on one ( Read more... )

Even without lubrication a menstrual cup isn't absorbent, so it shouldn't dry you out and cause irritation. As for cleaning it there are rinses and wipes that you can buy so you could clean it in a bathroom stall.

Some bring wet wash cloths and/or bottled water into stalls. Others change in the shower -- though I have issues with bodily fluids in public/shared showers.

Choosing a cup is not an exact fit but getting into the right size range is important. If you don't like the size charts at http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/ there are many others through this site and elsewhere online.
