it's more about your cervix position really. have you been able to find it? if you still have your old diva, you can actually try it inside out. same about the ladycup. my large one HURTS right side out, to the point that i can't wear it at all. inside out it's fine. ladycups are notoriously slippery, was that an issue? which part of the cup do you feel? if you feel the rim, perhaps you need something that's in between the small and large in length, for example a large sckoon (i feel the rim too). if you feel the bottom, can it be the pointy shape? some find the shape of the fleurcup and sckoon more comfortable :)
Yes, I can always feel my cervix. With the small LadyCup, I can get one finger up to pull on the rim, but I can't pull it out that way because it just tilts. I just can't get two fingers up there in the pinch position to comfortably grab the bottom because I can't get a grip (too slippery!) and I cut the stem completely off :( it's not that I can't reach it, I just can't get s grip! But I had no issues getting it out years ago. That's why I thought maybe I needed the bigger one since I'm over 30 now.
With the large, in pretty sure I'm feeling the rim, but it just feels too large in general. Like I have a "full" or "need to pee" feeling, if that makes sense.
Thank you for your suggestions! I'll try and see if I can find my old Diva.
how long did you use it? i had the same feeling on my first day with the ladycup, but after that it was fine. i did switch to melunas as soon as meluna soft came out though :) but my cervix is really very low.
"and it's getting sucked up too high in there" Decide whether you need a longer bodied cup or another short one with a long stem. Either way, you need longer length or longer combined length.
PQN will probably recommend the small Si-Bell. It's a small cup with a long stem. (She recommends it to everyone, no matter what their size requirements are but it might actually suit your needs.)
If you want to stay with small cups, the small Lady Cup shares dimensions with MANY others. Another consideration: the Lady Cups are glossy-surfaced cups that some people complain are too slick to remove easily. For their dimensions both small and large Lady Cups also happen to have the lower capacities than others with similar/same dimensions. If you need a little more capacity, then see what the competitors have to offer.
Hey, there's a reason I recommend it to so many people! Shortish cup with long but easily trimmable stem means that length can be totally customized. The only people who would be annoyed by it are those who don't like bell-shaped cups, those who really need a firm cup, those with too low a cervix for anything but the Meluna Shorty, and maybe people like me who tend to dig into stems with their nails and pull (my last Si-Bell bit the dust that way). But seriously, it's such a better shot for a first timer than the Diva is.
LOL! And like always, I will disagree that the SiBell is perfect for everyone and that the Diva is a bad choice for everyone. ;o) Just because one fits you perfectly and the other doesn't, it doesn't mean that it will be that way for everyone.
In this case, the OP does seem to prefer short/narrow cups that have long stems. And in this case the SiBell is probably a good choice. However, if she had thought that a long-bodied cup would have fit better, then the Diva would probably have been a better choice. Yes, the Diva's anti-suction holes should most likely need to be enlarged (it's not the only cup with teeny holes.) But no, it's not a particularly stiff cup despite what you think of yours.
You crack me up Kuradi. And as usual, I agree. I know people that bought the diva cup without doing any research and it works for them--despite the tiny holes. It personally didn't work for me, but I don't think it's as horrible as some make it out to be. The The Diva is horrible and Sibell is for everyone anthem is annoying.
The Diva isn't wrong for everyone (and I wouldn't even go so far to say it is a "worse bet") and the Sibell isn't right for everyone. The diva didn't work for me, but I'm not sure the Sibell would have either.
I'll second the Si-belle and add the Fleur, which is basically the Si-belle in firmer (still softer rim than LadyCup). Both give perfect grip even without the stem. If you want to keep the stem, I'd rather not take the Fleur, especially since your cervix is tilted.
If the length of the LadyCup large is good, you might have a good result with the large Si-Belle. It has about the same dimensions as the LadyCup large, but it is super soft. I had bladder pressure with the large Juju, which has a softer rim than the LadyCup small (don't have the large) and the Si-Belle doesn't give me those problems at all, though it took some time to figure out how to open that fast. Of course I can't promise it will be the same for you.
Yeah, any flat tab stems are going to be pokey if your cervix is off to one side. I have a MamiCup now since my second Si-Bell stem busted (I can't really bear down effectively so I have to PULL like heck on any stems and the Si-Bell couldn't take it) but I have to be VERY careful about the side of the cup that I insert so that the flatter side of the stem is flush against the side of my vaginal wall. Otherwise all I will feel is pokepokepoke. Same with my iCare. If they put a round stem on the Mami (like what the Rainbow has) and made it half a hair softer it'd be perfect.
Thanks! I actually just bought a Rainbow cup (size 1) after looking at the sizing chart and comparing to my Ladycups. I got 2 day shipping on Amazon and my period starts this week, so that was mainly why..ha. But I definitely want to look into the Si-Belle and Fleur as well.
I actually love my L Rainbow and would love it more if it had a bit more capacity. But the stem is the closest thing to perfect I've had on any of my cups. I just wish it were a few cm longer on some days.
if you want something a little larger than your small but not so wide, look at the large cuplee and meluna too :) (meluna soft is similar in stiffness to what you have so far, softer than the diva though)
