Large Cuplee or Iris

Apr 01, 2015 11:36

I was already set on my mind on getting a large cuplee because I've been getting rectal pressure from the small juju cup. However, the website selling the cuplee only accept paypal. So, I'm waiting for money to transfer from my bank to paypal account. While I'm still waiting for the money to go into paypal account. I saw reviews on the iris cup. So ( Read more... )

I've owned both. The shape of large Iris sits better around my very low cervix. If you don't need the width, the large Cuplee is a good cup. They are about the same softness.

I love my Cuplee. I haven't tried the other cup. It is soft and opens well for me, I barely feel it. But I have the smaller one I think, though I can't really see the large being much different.

I use the punch down fold to insert it, along with lube. Removal I'm still trying to get used to, I think it's best to grab the base and twist a little until the seal breaks. Here is something interesting I just found about "suction": http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/2091967.html

Good luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience with me! I feel more secure about ordering the cuplee now :) With removal, I really wish I could grab the base of the cup too! But, it hurts when I tried to insert two fingers... How's removal with just one finger? If you tried it before and don't mind sharing your experience XD

Of course! I think I've actually been removing it wrong, haha, I've only done one month so far. I didn't realize you need to break the seal from the top of the cup. So I'll have to work on that. So no, I haven't tried using my fingers like that. Sorry!

I've just been twisting ever so slightly at the base this way and that till the seal breaks. But maybe that's the wrong way to do it...

I have a small LadyCup (very similar to the IrisCup) and a large Cuplee. I like both of them a lot and pick which one to use based on how heavy my flow is that day. The LadyCup pops open more easily due to its firm rim; the Cuplee takes a bit more coaxing. It's my biggest cup (actually kind of a medium-sized cup), but I find it more comfortable than smaller, firmer cups like the Lunette. The LadyCup is a little slippery to remove; the Cuplee is easier because it's longer and I can bear down and tug on the stem until it's low enough to grab the base of. Hope it works out for you!

Thank you for sharing your experience with me too! I want to have two cups as welll too. But, I have always wonder why having both large and small cup. I understand that heavy flow needs a large cup. But if I have a large cup, do I still need a small cup for lighter flow? Does it feel different using a large cup(cuplee) during light flow?

You should be fine using the Cuplee for light days, too, although I find that smaller cups are a little easier to insert and remove. I got the small LadyCup first and then decided I needed something with a little more capacity for that one day of my cycle, hence the multiple cups. :)
