The Ladycup will probably be too short and hard to remove because it's slippery. You may like the Si-Bell if you're going for softness though (the stem is nice and long, but the cup itself is shorter--great for me because my pubic bone is very high and would pinch/steal capacity from any cup long enough to sit partly below it)
Unfortunately you won't really be able to have sex with a reusable cup in--they sit completely differently from the way Insteads sit inside you. (I guess if he is VERY poorly endowed he may not notice/reach the cup but that would be, um, unfortunate)
If you'd like to be able to have sex on your period, I've heard of some users actually taking a diaphragm and wearing it like a cup. I don't remember who described this though (you could search the site and see if you dig anything up)
Yeah, I got the idea from several threads in the sexual activity tag and I'm open to the idea. It isn't a #1 priority but it helped me reduce my candidate list to a number I could manage.
There are sizing guidelines and a link to commonly asked questions at http://sizecharts.livejournal.com/ as well as size and capacity charts.
Insteads are the only "cups" (even though they're completely different) that say they're OK to use during PIV sex but that hasn't stopped others from using cups successfully.
Use the guidelines and comparison charts to figure out which cups you think will fit/suit you best and then use shape and possibly squishy/stiffness to narrow those choices down to the one you like best.
