Yes, your body is just getting used to it. The cup is doing its job, so it sounds like it is placed right. It is one of the smaller cups. Next cycle your body probably won't even notice it's there :)

awesome! hung around with my little heating pad today, soothed the cramps alot and at some points, completely forgot the cup was inside. :)

I only had one period using a menstrual cup so far. I used it for first 2 days, had the same fullness sensation. I think it's pressing on my bowels and uterus somehow more than bladder. It wasn't uncomfortable for me, but I was aware of it at times. I took a break from the cup on day 3. But went back to using it on day 4 and I must say I already didn't feel that fullness thing anywhere as much as I did on first days.

I think it's same principal as with clothes you wear. If you pay attention to how they feel against your skin 24/7, it'll drive you mad. But if you get distracted, your nerve endings let go of their alertness soon enough. And then there's "being used to" factor as well.

Usually if you feel that sensation it's due to the cup sitting too low in your vagina. Try pushing it up as high as it will go.

really? wow i must have a really high cervix then. the entire si-bell (with the whole stem intact) was fully inside me at some point. :O

I'll take that into account. thanks alot :) :)

Hi, I'm a first time user too and I have been having the exact same sensation... I mentioned it in my post this week. It's not painful... I hadn't described it as fullness, but I guess that's how it feels... it's like a tiny pressure from the inside out at the level of the cervix.

I read the comment here that it might be low in the vagina, but like you I think mine is way up there... I'm hoping it's just the novelty of it and that my body will grow used to the cup. Honestly, this sensation (and some removal troubles) have made me take breaks from the cup everyday. I haven't tried an overnight yet, and I haven't left the house with it yet... today has been the longest I have kept my cup in... the sensation is there... annoying as hell! But I'm not giving up yet! Good luck for us!

Hey!

This is already my second cycle using it, and the feeling went away by the 4th day of my 1st cycle using it. so yes, i believe its just the novelty. I've also been using it quite exclusively for my second cycle, except for a very thin pantyliner just in case of leakage. using it exclusively might help your body in getting acclimatized to it, i think? but no worries, take your time and use it when you feel brave. I've also heard that some people just cant sleep with it in, although they are far and few in between.

hang in there my friend! WE'LL GET THROUGH THIS!

just a question: what cup are you using?

Oh, I'm using a Brazilian brand called InCiclo. Someone in this community told me that's a long cup. If so, then I should never get myself a short one. I already have enough trouble finding and getting a good grip on my InCiclo's base. :) I think today will be my last day in this cycle... the sensation didn't go away for me yet... but I think it also doesn't help that I spend my day sitting in front of a computer working... when I stand the feeling seems to go away.

ooo i see! yes, then i think you should just stick with the inciclo :)

I also feel the cup a little bit when im hunched up over my laptop. i think it might be because our vaginal canals are shortened when sit down or something. that being said, its not insanely uncomfortable. i hope the feeling goes away next cycle. i felt i alot less for this cycle, that's for sure. :)
