If you have a finger nail clipper, try smoothing out the edges of the stem. I've seen others give an example with the following characters, like instead of the edges looking like this |_| try to make them look like this \_/. See if using a fingernail file helps too, just to smooth it out. I think its more the edges that tend to irritate.

Why? to me it sounds like you got it right! your vagina feels different when you're on your period, much more lubricated. Dry runs are dry, can be irritating and does not mean you'll have an easier time when it's your period. I suggest letting yourself rest and trying when it's your period, and not just sticking the cup in yourself every day knowing it will not collect blood for the sake of "practicing". dry runs can also be unnecessarily frustrating.

I really want to get this down before I go to college next month, because we won't have a private bathroom [ughhh]. I'm not that afraid of dry runs; my vagina is kinda weird because it always produces more discharge or whatever the clear stuff is. I usually have to wear liners more often than not.
