Title: The Person You Want Characters: House & Wilson friendship Rating: PG Words 7530 Warnings[Spoiler (click to open)]The last scene contains reference to the events of the finale (so Wilson has cancer), the rest is set in season six.
Summary: When Wilson donates part of his liver to Tucker, House is there for him. Missing scenes from the episode Wilson.
You had me fooled. I thought something bad was going to happen as a result of the transplant operation. I never saw the ending coming. And what a great ending it is! Excellent use of canon. And, yes, Wilson wants House regardless of the circumstances. It's only selfish jerks like Tucker who don't.
Loved the green hair. That was a good touch. I also like the way House blames Cuddy. It struck me as very true to the character.
I also like that you include Wilson's point that he did a good thing, and it doesn't stop being a good thing just because Tucker is a jerk.
This is like a collection of all the scenes I wish we could have seen with that particular storyline. House's thoughts and the H/W back-and-forth were very IC, and I also loved how you used Cuddy and Chase here. I also liked how you brought in the physical pain House was feeling. The idea, post-Mayfield, that his pain could be controlled with ibuprofen (or, in Season 7, the love of a good woman) was ridiculous.
This is lovely - really enjoyed the parallel between these huge eps, and of course House isn't Tucker. It made me even more glad that Wilson had him. Wonderfully written, and the last line was just magic.
