Summary: Angsty House drabble following on from the end of 8.12.
He comes back walking tall, crutches discarded, only a slight limp remaining, and that too will soon be gone. His eyes are bright and clear, his manner confident. The doubt, the anger, the hurt, the misery, all gone. He takes his place, a cog smoothly sliding back into place.
When they are all gone, talking together happily, healed and whole, he picks up his cane and limps heavily to his office. The pain is crushing him today, and he takes out his little bottle of salvation. He tips two capsules into his mouth feeling only one thing. Envy.
