It’s not called LASIK

NO! It’s called ‘Total Wave Front’. And Why?

Because, my eyes were that bad!

I didn’t know that. I use to think that my vision was very good with glasses.

Huh! It wasn’t.

Any way…

Courtaud told me what to expect; and for that I’m very grateful.

Which means: I was not surprised to smell something burning, and keeping as still as a statue ( ( Read more... )

You're back!! I've been worried, wondering if you were okay, wondering when the surgery was scheduled for (because I forgot the dates you'd told me) and hoping everything was okay. I'm so happy that things are going well.

So, will you be getting orange eyeshadow?

Yes I’m back and I missed you terribly. I missed all my friends.
The last three weeks were very hectic; I hardly had time for anything other than very quick browsing.
I have 3 weeks of ‘you never know’ to catch up with; so by the time you update on Monday, I will be able to follow with the rest of your fans.

I like your story.

I’m fine, and using lubricants for my eyes, and still sleeping wearing the goggles. I’m trying to avoid the sun, so whenever I go out, I wear sun-glasses and carry a colored umbrella with a duck’s head for a handle…A GREEN duck’s head with a RED beak, and the umbrella is colored yellow and red.

[No, there were no orange ones]

Needless to say, I draw a lot of attention.

*shrugs*

orange eyeshadow
Way ahead of you. But I must say: you should do something about this ‘orange’ obsession of yours.

[*mumbles* poor Stasia, she’s too young to have this kind of fixation. *innocent gaze, then turns head away and smirks evily* ]

I'm happy to know that my comments did help you. I'm also happy that I did not tell you that the red light looked fuzzy because they already did cut a slice of eye off. ^_^

Please wait some time before applying make up to your eyes. Something always gets in and now they must stay as safe and clean as possible. Also, artificial tears will make a mess of it, and you will need to use them for a while.

May I friend you?

Friend me????
Oh, YESSS! Most definitely yes.

Your comments did help a lot, more than you might think. The red light thing was a NIGHTMARE; while they were working on my left eye I lost sight of it completely and panicked. But my left eye has better vision than the right one (typical!), and the doctor was very pleased with the results.
And so am I.
Thanks for warning me about the make up. I believe you’re right, and I should wait.

But can I work on my eyebrows? I've been feeling girly lately, and girly needs to trim her eyebrows.
*girly pouts girly-ly*

I realize that it's silly, but girly is allowed to be silly. Don't worry, this will pass.

A good trim of the eyebrows is even more important than a make-up, and I don't think there is any problem with the eyes.

A good girly time to you!

I'm happy that everything went alright. I was beginning to worry.

Of course you should wear eye makeup - take full advantage of your new glasses-free status!

welcome back!

p.s. the procedure sounds scary though... go brave meno!

I was brave, I really was. And TENSE.

The preparation leading to the surgery took more time than it should have; instead of finishing my tests in one day, they dragged to several.
But it’s done now.

*happy dance*

But 'Courtaud' says that I should not wear eye make up for now; because I still have to use lubricants and avoid any pressure to the eye.

But I really need to clean my eyebrows, and I bought tweezers and everything.

YESSS! No glasses.

It’s great. I no longer have to ‘hunt’ for them, or accidentally sit on them, or try to find the ‘right’ frame.

I feel FREE.

*sighs in contentment*

I know it’s an expensive procedure, but it was worth it.
