I like you. Sweet and nice, sour and mean, everyone needs a little variety.

Change is scary, and it might be a little bumpy, but you'll be fine. You only listed your so called 'faults' up there. What about all of your good traits, hmm? x) Obviously the good outweighs the bad, because I like you, and so do a lot of other people.

I've always liked you, no matter what bumpy parts in our friendship we come across. Granted, most of those are my fault to begin with, but that's beside the point, I think. I think the fact that I keep coming back means quite a lot about you as a person.

And as for your concept of wanting people to like you, I think I understand that bit far better than I probably should. I think the fact that you'd willingly sacrifice yourself for someone else, as you mentioned in your post, is amazing. Yet, I can see how you may view it as a weakness as well. Whatever the case, you're liked here for who you are, regardless of what you or others around you may say!
