The lot is way to small for any of those. For that kind of stuff they'll clear the woods a few miles down the road for, and oh can the developers not wait to do that. They clear and update the roads that don't go anywhere yet every other year.
I have a friend that went through that. She had nice woods behind her house, and then one year all gone and an apartment complex went up.
It's going to be another single family house. I assume that it won't be vacant, as I hope that if someone went to the trouble to build it they will live in it. Where I live isn't like the newer developments where they clear cut everything, build houses and then sell them. This place is more like the older ways where hundreds of lots went on sale, and people bought and built as they could afford over a decade or two. However, there aren't many plots left unbuilt now.
I was just really hoping that lot was going to remain wild. Poopers.

You're right, you don't need another vacant home.
Now wish upon the moon that another home is the worst that happens, and not a multi-family building or a convenience store.
