*le happy sigh*

I may or may not have been sitting in my cubicle with my chin propped on my hand and a dopey expression on my face reading the conclusion, and the book-tripping encounter, and the dancing, and all of it.

This was really fun. Enhances the movie.

It was very interesting to me to note that all of the books that Rapunzel was allowed to have were nonfiction. I was half-expecting Eugene to introduce her to novels. ;-)

*applause* Very nice! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you sooo very much for your feedback!

I loved the entire kingdom montage and it was a lot of fun to expand on what we were given.

You know, that's a good point. I had Rapunzel pick out non-fiction because that's all she had in the tower, but yeah, Eugene should have showed her fiction, LOL. You know, something like, "Flynnagan Rider and the Cave Dragon." Then Rapunzel could look at him all wide-eyed and innocent and ask, "Have you ever defeated a dragon, Eugene?" Cue in lots of stammering and diversionary tactics to avoid answering. ROFL

Thank you for taking the time to read this! I really appreciate it! :D :D

I really liked Eugene’s backstory in all of this. It’s very believable too ( ... )

Sorry about the delayed response!

Thank you for your feedback, it really is appreciated! It was tricky keeping everything in canon while showing Flynn's transformation to Eugene, but totally fun. I'm glad that you enjoyed this!

Thanks again!

You're welcome. :) I think he was in canon. I think Eugene and especially Rapunzel is tricky to write (I'm trying to do it myself) because he's so complex and especially after he changes he's kind of a different person but you still want him to be the same person we all came to know at first and Rapunzel is just all over the place. But you did good!

Finally! A moment to devote the time I want to give this final chapter. :D

I love the librarian and what little backstory his introduction gives us about Eugene.

It’s true too. The kindly librarian is one of the very few people who will never be burglarized by Flynn Rider. After all, I owe my alter ego all to Mr. Leser. He is the man who introduced me to The Tales of Flynnigan Rider so many years ago.

I like the notion that there's someone he has a soft spot for even before Rapunzel comes along. Someone who can actually sort of trust Flynn not to do something awful. It shows that he's genuinely good to begin with.

Oh Galileo, I think as I refrain from rubbing my eyes, you must have been real smooth with the ladies.

I can't tell you how that made me smile.

Also, Eugene wanting to be the one to show her how big the world is? Sigh. Her enthusiasm is infectious. You paint her naivety and excitement really well here, and you can see where it would wear down Eugene's defenses.

A warm feeling starts to spread in my chest. She’s ( ... )

You know, I knew there was something I forgot to respond to earlier this week. LOL

Thank you so much (as always) for your kind words. Like I said, this fic was probably my favorite Tangled fic I've written so far because it was so much fun to write. Because it took place during the movie I could weave in the cartoon-y comedy because it's canon, LOL. And it was fun showing Eugene as a smitten kitten, LOL

Yeah, I had to throw in the Rapunzel Fitzherbert idea somewhere in there.

Thanks again, chickie! Your words are always inspiring! (Now I should really get started on that Tangled Halloween story.)

I've just found this comm, and thus this wonderful fic.

It's a great piece in addition to the movie.. very believable as canon in respect to backstory and the gradual transformation from Flynn to Eugene.

Very well done indeed.
