OK so.. most of you will know that I haven't been able to complete a full backup in well over a year now, and that - purely apart from all of the pictures, entropy chapters, chatlogs and over 1000 songs I've aquired since then - I have a lot of stuff to lose ( Read more... )

I've run into that Online Scan popup before. It does look very real at first glance. But it was kind of hilarious when it happened. I was browsing on a Mac, and suddenly a PC window opened. LOL. Big tip-off right there.

Oh, for backing up your files, maybe try DVDs? Or if you can't burn them, an external drive (though i've had horrible luck with these in the past, LaCie's are good). You probably know all of that already though.

*nods* I've always tried to back up onto DVDs but it always gets to a certain point then says the disc is corrupt and has to start again.. I've bought hundreds of discs, stored them in different ways, tried different brands, but nothing seemed to make a difference.
