Dude, that is hardcore failage. Seriously, you know who *dies*??? Christ!
I'd be pissed too, but I'm pretty sure it's still worth reading the series and seeing how the events come about (what order, what motivations, what effects, etc) because even if you know some major spoiley events there's still going to be stuff you don't know. And a lot of the time it's the interactions between the characters as much as the events themselves that makes everything awesome and badass and shiney.
Well the dying thing MAY have been meant as a joke for shock value - I got as far as "__________ HAS FREAKIN DIED!" and hit the back button faster than a speeding facepalm. The only reason I didn't bite my own tongue in half and punch my fist through the laptop screen is because that would have taken slightly longer.
I still really want to read the comics but I have no idea where to begin.. ebay has a shitload of stuff but I don't have the money for everything. I need to know whats good and whats shit, what order I should read them in...
I tried asking fandom, but... well.... you see how well that went.
Well um, for what it's worth nobody ever *really* dies in comic books, right? They just... take a break for awhile. Like Batsy. But still.
Haha, yeah, I saw your post in the comm... I think I may have to finally figure out how to upload the ridiculously massive amounts of digital copies I have. That way I can feed your addiction and maybe get Loony started too.
I'm sure I shall get over it... I'm just one of those people who LOVES suprises. The person who told me the twist at the end of The Village before I watched it is probably still walking funny to this very day.
I've only read two full stories but I gotta say I think you'll enjoy them if you do ever have time to try it. Though it is kind of disjointing when all the shipping and slash normally reserved for fandom is already happening in canon.
I've found a few but never a full story, only highlights - which are good, fantastic even... but.... meh.... I want the full story!
I wish the Authority comm was as good with scans as the Batman one is! I would buy the ones that I like, I swearz! I even bought that godawful Batman Cacophany thing, for fucks sake!

As much as I am committed to keeping Batman as my default fandom/obsession, this is starting to become a close second.
