You might recall the I posted about a $188 bill back on September 13th. It was the leftover amount for the Radiologist when I went into the ER and was going into collection. It needed to be paid off within 30 days or it was going on my credit.

Thousands of comments have been left and sadly, almost a year later, the vast majority of people are still utterly incorrect in their beliefs about what it is, who I am, and what it’s all about. Two new trees are in my shop this week. One is a full moon that looks JUST like the actual moon. The other is a new take featuring a crescent moon instead of a full.

Hot on the heels of paying off two bills the other day, I get a collection notice. This is the remainder of the bill from the radiologist during my initial ER visit on May 29th.

I have less then 30 days to raise $188 to pay this bill off, or it goes on my credit.

Just made my last payment on two of my medical bills!! My Care Credit is now paid off (starting balance of $500) and my two lab bills for pre-op testing are both paid off now as well. (Starting balance of $300.)

We made a really good run at it. And it’s only through your support that I’ve been able to keep it going as long as I have. But I finally have to accept defeat and acknowledge I simply can’t pay my health insurance for August.

Last Sunday, August 5th marked 10 months post-op from my hysterectomy. I am getting ever closer to my 1 year and I can’t wait. To me, that’s a real hurdle to overcome and I feel like it’s the turning point I’ve been waiting for. Still, ten months is good and I’m doing really well.
