Your pictures are truly beautiful. For a beginner you have a good eye! I love how you captured the light and how close and clear the pics are.

I also purchase DSLR last year and have been experimenting with it with my kids (5 cats that I call kids) and alot of florals. With my package purchase, a telescopic type lens and it is awesome for taking pics of birds high up in trees. I love it! My pics aren't even close to being as good as yours. How long have you had the camera?

Aw, thanks! I just got it for my birthday on May 16th. My fur babies (two cats) have been subject to QUITE a few shots as well. They sleep on my bed all afternoon, I take their picture. LOL Fair trade, right?

The lens that came with it is an 18mm-55mm and for these macro shots, I added 2.5 macro lens. It makes a big difference in the extreme close-ups. It's touchy to focus sometimes but I think takes really nice shots.

Next, I want a Nifty-fifty since I hear they're awesome, sharp lenses and huge value for money.

Eventually, I'd also like to go to something with more "zoom" so like a 200mm or 300mm, but that will have to wait! LOL
