My ex-boyfriend's mom works for M. Night, and apparently the whole thing really was a bedtime story he made up for his kids (who are adorable acccording to my ex)

Yeah I had read that. It just seemed way too convoluted for a story to me. It was kinda all over the place.

That's just horrible. And I agree....it's your mother's birthday once a year. Even if I do dislike my grandmother, I do be really nice to her on her birthday. No matter how busy...ooer...but what is done is done.
