Eeeeh! Thank you so much! I've read so many great pre-IWTB pieces that are full of angst and loss and sorrow that I really wanted to do this justice, and I wasn't sure if I could. But I'm really glad it works for you and you can feel that ache =)

Oh...my....GOD.

I finally got around to reading this. And....its AMAZING. There are no words. Seriously.

This is DEFINITELY the one to submit with your Master's application. Its beautiful and loving and sad and angsty all at the same time.

Oh. My.

I read this the other day when you posted the link, and couldn't think of what to say. It has popped in my head at odd moments since, and I don't want to forget to post to you, but I still don't know how/what to say! So I may ramble...

Gorgeously sad, and as someone else said above, it aches.

The last line is...just perfect.

My only issue is Mulder leaving - I had/have a hard time thinking he would disappear like that on her.
And a part of me really wanted Scully to leave like she thought about doing. That he didn't deserve for her to wait for him to come back, as she wondered if he would come back, you know?

Regardless, beautiful job, and worthy of the recognition you have received.

I know what you mean. In all honesty I don't know if Mulder would leave her; I have a lot of different stories in me about their time on the run! But for these particular characters in this particular story it felt like what they wanted to do. I also think that Scully would have been much more pissed off with him than I've written her!

But that aside I'm really pleased that you liked it.
