To begin at the beginning: It is spring, moonless night in the small town, starless and bible-black. Shadows meet in dim wood panelled rooms, hiding in the night. )

I really like this. I think you have actually captured the tone of Under Milk Wood, while keeping within The X-Files universe. Impressive.

There are so many great writers doing XF stuff that means a lot. Thanks. I'm getting more inspired to write now that I'm a part of these communities so there'll be more up, definitely.
