Oh, nooooo! I didn't draw that out of my head!! :[ I can of course, but this drawing was based off a spread from an issue of NYLON. Shucks, I feel so ungenius-like now (haha, insecurity insecurity tsk shame on me)... but still, thank you so much for your kind comment, Roxy! You're the legitimate best! :D ♥ I hope you're doing okay - I miss you!
Don't worry about it, it's just a thing I do - not your fault at all. And most definitely! Well. I guess... I don't know, but there is something pretty special about drawing with references. You get to appreciate every single detail of what you're drawing, and you notice things about your subject you never would've done if you were trying to draw from imagination or just merely observing. So references are never less, per se, just an overwhelming (for the lack of a better word to describe it) need to appreciate what you're looking at by redoing it, recreating it.
(Oh dear, my apologies for all that uncalled-for rambling.)
Woot! I love the feeling of exams being done with and assignments passed up! I'm alright as well, though exams aren't over for me yet - I've still got Grade 8 piano next week.
