YES. The lack of music was CHILLING and JARRING.

Also, like, he's the first one who's actually out to keel them dead, before they were only just trying to capture Aang. THE DIFFERENCE IT MAKES.

Combustion Man is my new favorite villain. Because he SCARED Aang. When's the last time a baddie truly and honestly SCARED Aang? As in "let's get the fuck out of here RIGHT NOW guys" kind of scared.

Just....there's need to be an entire episode for this and if there isn't I'll scream.

Dude is a SERIOUS HITTER. And I honestly can't think of a single villain-type character who has ever freaked Aang out like this, with the possible exception of Koh the Face Stealer. Even then, though!

YOU KNOW WHAT I LOVE BEST. THAT I HAVE SEVERAL BIG ISSUES WITH THIS EPISODE YET I LOVE IT DEEPLY AND TRULY AND WANT TO MAKE OUT WITH IT.

It is my firm opinion that there is no such thing as a flawless canon, and I love it so much when the flaws of a series don't bug me.
