If they used those ten long, long months to make sure the animation was as gorgeous as it could be, then I feel it is safe to say they used those ten long, long months very, very well

I hope everything in this story stays top notch. Especially the animation.

I've been crossing my fingers for months now that we don't have any off-the wall animation like The Chase and Return to Omashu. AND THUS FAR I AM VERY PLEASED.

Honestly, the only animation nitpick I have is the anime slapstick. But that's easily overlooked since everything else is pure awesome!

YES. Sometimes, the character animation is not very consistent! (In this episode, Zuko is sporting a round face! In this next episode, his face is long and craggy. Wait, wait, it's round again! WAIT, SHIT--)

Some of the anime gags are exasperating, yeah (in this episode: the pulsating vein! what, why), but as you said! Overlooking it for everything else. *g*
