OH, SHOW. Oh, show! I have missed you so much. You are the piece which completes the broken puzzle that is my heart, you are the cool breeze on a summer day, you are the Coldstone Creamery employee with the handsome smile who showed off his scooping skills then snuck an extra spoonful of gummi bears into the cone when I was counting out change at ( Read more... )

Okay, I'll be honest and say I was never too keen on Katara's character during the first season but I warmed up to her in the second. But! I've absolutely adored her in these past two episodes! (Plus she looks totally smoking hot in her Fire Nation disguise.)

And while Aang/Katara isn't my ship (that's Zuko/Mai), I've really really liked the development they've had in season 3 thus far. She was so jealous!

So ... THAT WAS A LOT OF WASTED WORDS. Good job, Mem.

NO. NO IT WAS NOT. ESPECIALLY NOT THE PART ABOUT THE DANCE (THE DANCE THE DANCE THE DANCE) BECAUSE THAT ESSENTIALLY SUMMED UP MY ENTIRE THOUGHT PROCESS ON IT ALL. IF IT COULD EVEN BE DESCRIBED AS A THOUGHT PROCESS. BASICALLY I'M NOT EVEN PROCESSING THE REST OF THE EPISODE RIGHT NOW, BECAUSE OF THE MOTHERFUCKING DANCE!!!!

Oh show. Oh OTP. Oh dancing/synchronization/fighting-but-not kink. How did you know, Mike and Bryan? How did you knooooooooow!?!?!!!

T-this might actually rival the raining/fighting/kissing WEDDING OF THE CENTURY IN A MOTHER-EFFIN' WHIRLPOOL in POTC3 that sealed my love of Will/Elizabeth for all time. Maybe. Possibly.

oh show~ ♥ ♥ ♥

HAHAHAHA HOW-- how did you know that what you struck-out was the only other romantically fighttastic encounter I could think of that topped Aang and Katara fight-dancing. kajsldk.

SO GREAT???

I CANNOT THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY.

I HAVE ONLY HEARTS.

M-maybe because that was the only other thing my mind could come up with that was even on the same level of awesome as the fight-dance??? (And omg that is the perfect name for it and what it will forever be now in my mind.) I just...I just...DANCING. AND BENDING. AND AANG'S GRINS AND KATARA'S WIDE-OPEN SMILES AND SYNCHRONIZATION AND THE WAY THEY WERE SO OBVIOUSLY THERE, TOGETHER, THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE ENTIRE THING! That, my friends, is chemistry. That is how you do intimacy between a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old without giving me the squickies.

I do not for a second expect or believe that Katara and Aang will be having hot makeout sessions by the end of the series (o-omg Maiko ♥), but THAT, right there, is how you set up the foundations for a truly EPIC relationship.

And those are my thoughts on Kataang. ^_^;;;

A-also. I will admit to never before seeing the true underlying appeal of Aang's character. I mean, I liked him well enough and all, but he was still overwhelmingly just this dorky kid in my mind who had way too ( ... )

I DID NOT THINK OF THE PARALLEL WITH WILL/ELIZABETH. THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THAT!

I rewound my tape to check (read: squint at) the end credits, and it looks like the plot device girl's name is spelled "On Ji". And I'm totally convinced she's Ty Lee's younger sister.

And "Enemy birds" is just one of the many Sokka moments getting iconned once I get caps.

Oo, thanks! I was wondering about that.

RIGHTFULLY SO. "This is enemy territory! These are enemy birds." Oh, Sokka.
