Someone actually gave me the keys to a house. OMG!

There's stuff the previous owner left that requires disposal, and he did a fine job gouging the wood floors on his way out the door; but I'm very pleased with my purchase and its mountain of new debt.

North Mountain Preserve, about a block from the entance to the hiking trails. I haven't checked them out yet, but I will as soon as I get back from my Canada trip.

Not sure when the housewarming party will be yet. I'm still trying to figure out how to pack my big house full of furniture into less than a thousand square feet. I *think* my eleven foot couch will fit (took the rug over and laid it out, rather than trying to measure, the measuring wasn't working so well. :) It's more my decorating muscles that need exercise for now. I got a bit complacent in the old place.

It doesn't require much remodeling. It has a new kitchen and new wooden floors. Eventually, it will need a new bathroom, because the one it has is stuck in the 80's. I've got a garden to plan, and I picked up a bunch of nice bookselves yesterday. By this time tomorrow, I'll have most of my books on shelves! And that make me very happy for some reason.
