One of my hobbies is the study of information graphics. It's a surprisingly interesting and powerful discipline with applications in many fields. Excellent work. My least favorite thing about the linear 'graph' they used was that it showed little windows in the background houses which lit up yellow as they progressed to repair things. This ended up making things even more confusing. In your screen capture you can see the two remaining windows which have yet to be lit up in the red 'building'.

Although I see now that I mislabeled my vertical axes as "number of people" instead of "thousands of people". Oops.
