For a moment, Ginko put a clutched hand over his chest as he followed Hibari, checking to make sure he was still breathing. "...For pete's sake..." he muttered, "Oy, wait up."

Dammit. He completely ruined it, the little-- I knew exactly what I was going to say next. Oh well...

He smiled a little at Hibari's back as it moved through the crowd ahead. I'll keep on sticking around, even if I get scratched.

Ginko came up and promptly rested his chin atop of Hibari's head, staring at the same cotton candy.

He was allowed to be silly every once in a while.

"What are you hesitating for? Your my 'date' by now, for all intents and purposes. 's on me."

That, and this might've been his way of 'expressing his gratitude for their friendship', again.

"One blue and one pink."

"Blue and pink comin' up!"

Handing Hibari the blue, Ginko waited to take his first bite, wanting to watch and make sure Hibari wouldn't finally choke and fall unconscious from the amount of food he'd consumed.

It's not that he wanted to watch Hibari open up his mouth and swallow something and lick his lips. Whatever gave you that idea?

how many of these jokes can YOU make, buddy sore_feet_man September 24 2009, 05:09:10 UTC
Ginko's feet just kept following Hibari around without his brain having to tell them to; good thing, since his brain was a little bit preoccupied. Just a bit. His pink cotton candy remained uneaten and in hand.

He blinked back into reality when he noticed they hadn't found themselves in front of another food stall. "Not hungry for more?" he asked in complete dead-pan.

(( off-screen make-out session after the festival Y/Y? also i'll be on AIM in like 15 min dude ))

"Kyouya," he answered Hibari's question simply, although anyone overhearing probably wouldn't hear that inflection in his voice. He was just saying someone's name, that's all.

He was giving Hibari a peculiarly serious look, for being in the middle of a bustling festival. It could've been interpreted any number of ways; Ginko's facial expressions had a different kind of range and subtlety than most people's. It might've meant "I am ill at ease about the possibility of another magical curse befalling the island". Perhaps it meant "I'm hiding angst about recent memories I've regained".

Ginko was hoping that Hibari alone would read the arch in his eyebrow corently, as "You have no idea how badly I want inspect your tonsils right now. Can we go somewhere private?".

((This reply took about 4x longer than I thought. XD G'night!))
