The First Official SOH Brigade Investigation Outing...Commence!

Where: In the cafeteria where the "daycare" was
When: April 18th, late afternoon
What: Haruhi calls a brigade meeting to investigate the mysterious transformations, but arrives a little too late.

Yumi yawned as he strolled through the building, nearly bored out of his mind. At least taking care of a bunch of brats had been something to do - now he was stuck wandering aimlessly in hopes of finding something, most preferably a fight. He frowned as he glanced to his sword. Yumi couldn't remember why he liked fighting, or even if he was particularly good at it, but going so long without even the slightest brawl was beginning to grate at him, almost like an addiction. Letting out an annoyed sigh he turned to the cafeteria, noticing Haruhi and blinking.

"Oh, it's you." Yumi commented, something tugging at his memory. His eyes lighted up after a moment. "Oh yes, we're going to investigate, right?" he asked, excited at the prospect. Maybe then he'd finally get to fight these aliens she was always speaking about.

Haruhi was growing impatient as she stood there with her arms crossed, toe tapping, and a serious look on her face. But as soon as she heard a familiar voice behind her, she quickly turned around.

"Ah, it's you, Member #6! You're late! Penalty!" she said sternly.

But after a brief pause, she began to retract that statement. "Though this one time I'll let you go since you're first to come. But don't let it happen again!

"But yeah, we are going to investigate the origins of why and how these inhabitants, usually teenagers or adults, regressed into children. We should be splitting up the group once we get more members."

For the eight time since leaving her room, Haruhi asked herself why she was going on this ridiculous mission. For the eight time, she was unable to come up with a satisfactory answer. Maybe I'm just bored.

Her eyes immediately failed to light up when she saw the other Haruhi.

Mokona recognized the girl who had been so interested in her before. She looked like she was intent on something, too. Maybe she was going to do something exciting! Mokona hopped across the room.

"Good afternoon, Haruhi-chan and everyone!"
