Because you asked so kindly, I am the one who posted the last anonymous comment, and who reposted said comment. I'm glad you saw what you should have done, and I hope things get better for you in real life.
Mmm... There tends to be a scattering of small grammatical/spelling errors in your posts. Personally, something that I find helpful is to type in Microsoft Word, as it usually catches most of those errors. And if you pay attention to the errors it catches, you'll slowly (or quickly - it depends on the person I suppose) learn what mistakes you're making and start fixing them on your own.
But specifically on the "your" and "you're" mix-up? I don't usually remember posts word for word, so I'd have to go and check yours again. Unfortunately, I have to do chores in a bit, so I don't really have time at the moment.
I don't quite understand since you play Hao fine. (I've never really had any interaction with Train.) There are a few grammmatical errors sometimes but everyone makes that mistake.
The comments on opinion posts and so on are given anonymously because many otherwise good RPers dislike confrontation. A lot of people won't be completely honest unless they're sure that giving their opinion won't smear them in someone's eyes.
By the way -- there are a lot of good sites on grammar out there. A simple google search will clarify probably 95% of your grammar questions. Some quick things (I don't remember if you do all of these, but just in case):
you're = you are your = you, possessive
"Your dog screwed up my car." "You're just trying to get my money." AKA: "The dog you own screwed up my car." "You are just trying to get my money."
there = here, there they're = they are their = they, possessive
"There aren't many people here." "They're probably all out partying in the their underwear."
effect = usually a noun (verb is very obscure) affect = usually a verb (noun is very obscure)
"Did the earthquake affect you?" "No, I couldn't feel its effect."
The obscure verb effect is for executing policies, like, "This new
( ... )
Well I don't want any sort of negative confrontation- I just rather know what I'm doing wrong up front. I rather improve and be told what I'm doing wrong, when I did it wrong- not afterwords. You can always anon email me with what you think I did wrong calmly. It's not like I'm going to take the calm crit and go "NO U." God knows I've given crit and had it blow up in my face too.
And secondly- thank you for the grammar lesson. I'll keep it in mind.
Many problems are long-term problems. You wouldn't think twice if it were just one post, but things go on and on and the general impression's just wrong. Especially in arts, it is very hard to give concrete corrections. Unlike grammar, where I can say you definitely used the wrong "your", the affect (haha obscure usage) you get from writing or acting is a sum of its parts. And not everyone's so experienced in criticism as to know what exactly is wrong there -- just that it's not it.
That said, if it helps -- crit from the opinion post is generally sent out two or three days after being received, depending on how backlogged we are. Any crit you get will probably still apply by the time you get it.
I've never had a personal problem with either of your characters; I hope it all goes over well for you. ♥ To be honest, I really like nonpsycho!Hao; it kind of makes my Lyserg freak a little.
But grammar and anger issues are something that can always be fixed in the long run. :D~
First of all, just like Anna-mun said, I don't see any problems with your Hao. (And I don't know Train as well.)
Secondly, while I do admit I am a grammar nazi when it comes to my mother language, things are different if it's about English. Everyone makes mistakes, including me of course (that's why sometimes it takes me so long to respond - because I wonder if what I want to say is grammatically correct >_<). Sometimes I use Google to check if it's okay for me to say something the way I want to. I'd advise you doing that if you want to make sure what you've written is okay.
And last but not least, I will miss you~ I hope everything works out for you! &hearts
