Way back at the beginning of this project, when I was counting to myself the number of fics I could name off the top of my head to include here, before I even started doing any research, this was the first candidate that came to my mind. It isn't so much that I've been procrastinating on its rec (although I have). It's that I'm terrified of talking

Complicated, frustrating, nerve-wracking, wretched, wrong, just a hell of a miserable fucking thing, and still beautiful and (gulp) still the best damned piece of fanfiction I have ever read.

You can almost say that about everything Sam/Dean she's ever written, she's that good. I mean there are the more playful stories in her catalogue, but there's always this undertone of sadness and desperate longing to her Sam/Dean, I think. She's one of those (actually pretty few) writers that I can't read and expect to write anything for a while afterward because I just despair of myself in the face of that kind of devastating talent.
