Trans2 hasn't come out in the US yet - glad to hear it's decent! I still need to watch the first one, because I know I'll get dragged to this one.

And even though it was obviously CGI most of Egypt's wonders were destroyed and it broke my heart to see that happen.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who reacts like that! I was getting upset during the last 'National Treasure' when they were punching a hole in the basement of Jefferson' home, and even moreso when the (fictional) underground Native American city was being destroyed by water!

I am amazed that it hasn't come out yet. I always complain that in this country we have to wait for ages until it is in our cinema.

That film made my appreciation of historical artifacts wither and die! I never want to see any of that happen in real life and now the graphics are so life like that it looks so real.

It is! I wish mine were like that without the surgery.

LOL! I always used to complain that it was the other way round so I am enjoying this! ;)

They really look brilliant don't they? Have you seen the trailer?

I feel sort of relieved that there's nothing compelling me to read P&P&Z now, if it ruins the characters this much- because JA's books are awesome for their characters and themes.

Don't. I love Austen's P&P without the zombie mayhem. The characters aren't themselves any more - they are a parody of themselves and it doesn't work. At least not in my opinion.

ugh that book. i didn't read it because i'm just so torn about its production: on the one hand, it's an interesting concept, but on the other hand, it seems like it's nothing more than that interesting concept. it's silly commercialism as far as i can tell.

and ahhhhh i'm also torn about sherlock holmes! i love sherlock holmes. and i love him because he's so weird. and he's so not into romance, which is why i am worried about robert downey jr playing him: he frequently likes to play the ladies' man, and if they turn this movie into a love story i will die a little inside. i do love rd jr, but i'm literarily nervous! i will see the movie, i know i will, but whether or not it will upset me is a major issue.

It is just an interesting concept. It doesn't add anything to the story and in my opinion it takes more away than it should.

This film is deff gonna be about the love. When I knew Rachel McAdams was in it I knew she was the love interest. I will deff be seeing the movie too, but I do wonder how much they have stuck to the story. From the trailer not much at all!
