bird hijinks--I LOL'ed

Today on the way home I saw a couple of birds hopping through the grass in the parking strip. One was a starling, pecking at bugs or something in the grass. The other was a fuzzy grey robin-shaped thing slightly larger than the starling; I identified it as a fledgling robin. If your starlings are in the same boat as ours, I feel sorry for them. The ones across the street have a nestful of very insistent chicks and are looking a little frazzled without moochy robinlets taking advantage of them.

Hee! That's pretty amusing. I just five minutes ago read that starlings were introduced to North America by a society working to introduce every bird mentioned by Shakespeare, which I think is wierd, but pretty neat.
