Where can I read about these dykes? They seem to be comics characters, yet I don't know them.

They've got at least most of the Dykes to Watch Out For books at Bailey/Coy, and some at Babeland last I checked. The library has all but one or two (I've checked out all they had recently). All highly recommended!! Their creator Alison Bechdel also has a couple other books: The Indelible Alison Bechdel, and a graphical memoir called Fun Home.
