[Elena was just taking a walk on the beach. Barefoot. The sand feels sooo good between her toes.

...oh...it's a naked girl.]

[being a mermaid means a certain amount of body shyness goes out the window, but she perks up when she sees Elena. She's been watching her for months, but she's only just met her now.

She probably should cover up]

She smiles, but averts her eyes a bit.]

Hi, uh...you know this isn't a nude beach, right?

[she pauses for a moment, her mouth making useless sounds, until she shrugs.

[Is noticing this, and the lack of clothing anywhere in the area, so she's just gonna...take off her shirt and shorts. She at least has her swimsuit on under it.]

[nods, and reaches for the clothes. she pulls them on, awkwardly, because she's not sure how clothes are supposed to work, but in the end, she's fully clothed, and gives her a half-smile in return.]

[After peeking a few times (for the sake of checking progress, she swears), she sees that she's good and covered and gives an awkward smile back.]

So, um...are you okay? You seem kind of...out of it.

[out of it is one word for it. she pauses, gesturing to her throat for a moment, before mouthing the words 'can't talk']

You lost your voice? [This in connection to the other strange behavior? Yeah, it makes Elena worry about what exactly has happened to this girl.] I could take you to see my dad. He's a doctor.

[Claire doesn't think it will help -- spell and all -- but she wants to spend more time with Elena so ... she'll nod]
