[That... isn't a very embarrassing question. Spencer expected something a lot worse-- this one just gets him thinking for a little while.]
Early childhood memories are usually not very vivid... I remember that when I was about two years old, I was very scared about going to sleep at night because I was afraid that I wouldn't wake up again.
[Tina likes to start out with the nicer questions anyway. She nods when he finishes his answer] Sorta like this one time my cousin Michy was baby-sitting me and she was trying to get me to go to bed, and I didn't wanna walk in the bedroom first 'cause I was afraid there'd be an axe murderer or something. I was five.
It's my turn, I think? I'll....take truth. [She hasn't worked up the nerve for dare yet]
An axe murderer? Then, uh-- I don't think he was a very good babysitter. Fears like that in children mostly come from things they've seen on TV. Did he let you watch a horror movie?
[Oh-- right. It's his turn to ask her something. Excuse him, Tina, but you'll be getting relatively nice questions only tonight. There's a pause, because he kind of has to think for a bit to come up with something to ask.]
No, Michy- I mean, sorry, Michelle doesn't dig on horror flicks. That's my thing. [She's so used to calling her cousin by her nickname she forgets it sounds weird to others] I did see Rocky Horror around that time, though, but that's really not the same.
[She purses her lips to think] Hmm.... dunno if it's a phobia per se, but I instinctively duck any time I see a slushie. Does that count?
[She nods] Yeah, there is. So I guess so. Never really thought about it before.
Yeah, a slushie. Um, where I come from, the go-to method of torment is tossing a slushie in someone's face. And..let's just say, my social rank in high school? Wasn't all that high, so I got slushied. A lot.

[Why is he even playing this game?]

Dude, how can you be so old at this age? You're missing the point. It's not actually about the time.

I think that's my earliest memory?

Do you have any irrational phobias?

[Reid gives her a bit of a confused look.] Slushie?

I've never had slushie thrown in my face, though? Which I'm kind of glad for. That doesn't sound very -- um. Pleasant.
[Just very sticky and cold. It's nothing he'd like to try.]
