[His is not a visible injury, the fight going on inside his body between Innocence and Dark Matter is tearing him apart faster than the Noah genes can heal him. Lavi hadn't been using either of them if he could help it - not that he could use the Noah's powers while he was "locked up" anyway - yet it didn't seem to matter. As far as his Innocence went...he was scared. Scared of what it would do now. It had been an equipment type like Lenalee's but what kind of form would it take now that it had evolved? His anxiety wasn't making things better.

Stumbling out of the bathroom and leaning against the door frame as he wipes the blood from his lips with one hand, the other wrapped around his stomach. His scars were aching horribly today but it hadn't debilitated him like it did Joyd. Waking up with bones that had suddenly broken overnight or bruises where he hadn't hurt himself was new. Something he didn't want and fought desperately to hide.]

Eloi! [Can't mistake the blood that he saw. Kanda's getting up immediately to help Eloi away from the bathroom and toward the bed, and he can't help but worry about him - and Joyd - now too. He doubted the situation that Eloi was in now was good, especially with both Innocence and Noah inside him.

Honestly he wished that he could do more to help him besides take care of him. He'll always do that, but he still just feels so helpless at the same time. And he still blames himself that this had to happen too.]

[It had come up with the coughing attack moments before while he finished cleaning up after his shower, must be attacking his lungs or something. He grins weakly at Kanda and just holds onto him for a few moments, ignoring the pulling to the bed.]

I'm fine. I'm just...tired of resting. Please. [The Innocence had managed to keep Joyd from taking over again while the redhead was weak, but it was still taking a toll on his body. As for blaming himself, he wishes that Kanda wouldn't do that, he was the one that agreed. Not Kanda.]

But it wouldn't have happened if Kanda was as strong as he used to be. If he wasn't so afraid of Falling, he could've done something. But he was afraid to even draw any version of Mugen now.]

[He had been in bed most of the time since the little dominance battle had begun, he was sick of it. Couldn't do anything that he wanted to and for once...Eloi was tired of reading. Leaning into him, arms wrapped around his waist and just soaking in his presence.

What would he have done then if he were strong again? That Mugen is deep in the bottom drawer of the dresser under his clothes.]

He would have still protected Eloi. But he would have maybe tried to stop Joyd too instead of just sitting there dumbfounded.]

[They're comforting, he likes them. They remind him that he's got someone there to lean on and Eloi grips his clothes. Hindsight is 20/20, if he had known what would happen would he have tried then?]

[Just keeps rubbing his back. If he had known, he would've tried, even if he can't do anything against phasing as he is now.]

[Eloi nods and then abruptly pulls away, hands covering his mouth as he starts coughing again, bent as if his ribs are in pain. One of them is actually broken and punctured his lung a little, but his body is repairing itself slowly.]

[He wishes his injuries weer physical, and that his body could still heal itself. Could drop blood on the injury and have it heal that way, like he accidentally did with Marie all those years ago.]

[Shaking his head while he coughs, muttering in between that he's fine. Gasping in air when he's finished and wiping again at more blood, looking up at Kanda.]

Do you think we could go to a courtyard and lay in the sun at least? [He doesn't want to stay in bed.]

[Eloi grins back and goes back into the bathroom to clean up, leaving the gathering of the blanket, books, and maybe a pillow to Kanda.]
