THE CAPTIVITY MEMEYou've been captured - or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you

Still, the basic kidnapping/holding hostage bit aside, she's a fairly nice captor. At least, she's trying to be. Look, she's brought him some food!] ....Come on, you've gotta eat.

*Fucking hell, he truly hated this stupid fucking rope...*
Let me go. *he repeated for what it felt the millionth time* Fucken' untie me already, Tina. *he didn't even glance at the plate she'd brought him. His eyes were set on hers the whole time.*

He had the most piercing eyes. Even tied up he still sent chills through her body. Somehow she found the strength to slowly shake her head at him, gently putting the plate down on the nearby table] Murphy, I....I can't do that. Somebody'll end up dead. Until you agree to give up this...crusade or whatever you're on, you're staying here.

Tina. *he took a deep breath, never blinking as he stared at the younger girl.* That's the point. Killin' every motherfucker that deserves ta die. Yeh got it? *he suddenly jerked his body forward, still testing those knots.* Connor and I'll be fine.

[She curses in frustration, because really she hates being this person, but she doesn't understand where's coming from. As she bends to try and scoop up the mushy remnants of his food back onto the plate so she can get rid of it, she continues] And just how do you judge who's 'worthy'? What if you've got a grudge against somebody and then you see them steal a couple of pennies from a donation jar? Does that mean you're gonna pop them in the head?

It doesn't work like that, our judgin' is far more complicated. *except that, it wasn't. Either way, the Lord had trusted he and Connor for a reason, didn't He?* We've got rid of true scumbags. Didn't yeh see the news? We're makin' a better world.

The news isn't always right, you know... [But yes, she had seen the news. The reports, the almost cult-like following that was forming in support of their vigilante justice] And besides, what if you're doing more harm than good? What if any old kid thinks he can just pick up a gun and right what he thinks is wrong? Aren't you putting out the message that the judicial system blows and violence makes it better?

*he tilts his head back* And if the Lord asked us ta do it, there's nothin' else we can do.

Ugh, that's the part I don't understand - how the hell do you know it's.. 'God' telling you to do this? What if you're just like, rationalizing it like that to make yourself feel better?

He gave us a message ta the both of us. The same message. *he bowed his head, looking at the spot where he knew his cross was resting* Connor and I know what we saw and we believe in that.

*Besides, a far more important matter was bothering him now.*

[Another sigh] ...Fiiine, lemme get the handcuffs. [The handcuffs are hers, currently resting on top of a trunk to the far side of one of the attic walls. She had them for...recreational purposes. Sadly this is nowhere near as fun. She reluctantly got to her feet and retrieved both her preferred pair (shiny and silver) and her backup pair (black fuzzy and never used).]
Guess I'll be nice and offer you a choice which ones you want for your wrists.
