[Sam doesn't have a lot of experience with kissing, but this? This feels good. It feels great. It could be the alcohol, but he's inclined to believe that James is just a really good kisser. He runs his hand down James's back, slipping beneath his shirt as he rests his fingers lightly on his skin.]

[James feels fingers on his bare skin and maybe his senses are a bit heightened but that feels good and he would definitely enjoy more touching in other places. He nips lightly on Sam's bottom lip and moves closer to him, practically pressing his body against Sam's.]

[The thing about writing notes? You actually had to be able to write to do them. And Percy's brain was hard-wired to read ancient Greek, not English, courtesy of the whole demigod thing, so he was really having a difficult time of it. The letters kept moving around on the page, or else they looked like wobbly spaghetti noodles and he was pretty sure he'd spelled everything wrong.

He makes a frustrated noise and crumples up the paper. Unfortunately, the noise is loud in their silent-as-a-grave-and-just-as-interesting English class. Which Percy's currently failing along with everything else, so he had figured that 5 minutes of lapsed concentration couldn't do so much harm.

Even if those five minutes were spent trying to tell a dude that you had a crush on him.]

[Sam looks over at Percy when he hears him loudly crumpling his paper up. The classroom is quiet, and for a second Sam feels like everyone is looking at Percy. When everyone goes back to their work, Sam flashes him a tiny grin. He'd much rather pay attention to Percy than his English work - he's this close to failing anyway, even though he hasn't told anyone he needs extra help yet because he's embarrassed about his dyslexia.

He rips off a tiny piece of his notebook paper and scrawls out a quick note that actually takes him a few minutes longer than normal because he wants to make sure everything's spelled correctly before folding it up and flicking it onto Percy's desk.]

We should hang after I'm done with football practice.

[He reads the note, trying to ignore how fast his heart started beating afterwards because seriously, how lame was that? Sam probably just wanted to be friends or something. So many his stupid brain had saved him from mortal embarrassment.

Percy sends the note back, message scrawled on the blank side.]

ok. I have stuff to do after class anyways.

[By 'stuff', he really meant extra tutoring so he wouldn't fail the year, but he neglected to mention that]

[Sam reads the note, then looks up and shoots Percy another smile. It's kind of weird, passing notes to another dude in class just to set up a hang-out session, but it's also kind of exciting in a way that was oddly missing when he was with Quinn. Plus, Percy is kind of... adorable. He rips off another scrap, spending a moment with his head bent over his desk as he carefully writes down his number, along with another message, before tossing it on Percy's desk.]

Call me. We should study this stuff together, I'm totally lost in this class. Or we could go grab food together. That would be more fun than studying.
