“No,” he said with a shake of his head. “Too invested now.”

"You're right. We have all this community property to think about now."

She slipped the box across the table towards him, the one with his new cuff links in it.

The box caught his eye and he set his fork down beside his plate. He held it in his hand as he took off the top. “Ariadne…” He smiled down at the cuff links. “These are perfect, thank you.”

She grinned happily. "Try them on."

He took off the cuff links he had been wearing, simple silver cubes, and put on the cuff links she bought him. “How do they look?”

"You make them look great," she said, pleased.

“I’ll wear them every time I go out,” he promised before he resumed eating.

"You don't have to wear them every time," she said with a little laugh. "Just most of the time."

“Alright.” He grinned and took her hand from the across the table, dropping a kiss to the back of it.

She nearly giggled, unable to stop herself. "How did I snag myself someone so handsome?"

“With a net and tranquilizers,” he replied.

"And then I marched you down the aisle at knife-point?"

“Exactly,” he said with a laugh.

"Whatever," she said, glancing down at her plate. "I don't coerce you. I'm just very convincing."

“Trust me. You didn’t have to do much to catch my attention,” he said sincerely.
