Because everyone needs some random fluff in their lives sometimes! Whether you just need cheering up or you're just having fun in company you love to be in, let the fluffy, sweet times roll!
9, which means winging some random nonexistent subplot. :D tl;dr, yay!craving_goldSeptember 8 2011, 11:15:30 UTC
[So there were still people around that wanted to execute him with a clean shot through the neck for running off with three million pounds for a fake Matisse, and apparently were better at transatlantic stalking than he'd first suspected. He'd had to, er, disappear for a while. Not much warning had been given. He hadn't had many regrets about having to disappear off the face of the earth once more, what with the whole no-friends thing, and he suspected Miller would be glad for the respite in any case.
It's probably uncertainty more than anything else that brings him to Agatha's door before he heads back to the flat. First of all, the Scary People know where he lives. Second of all, he has a feeling that facing Miller after several months is just going to be exhausting. Third of all, he'd kind of like to know what he missed before he has to talk to anyone important. And, right, maybe it just seemed the logical choice even before he thought of all of these reasons.
[Are you sure your dear "father-in-law" didn't tip them off? He really doesn't like you, yanno, Edgar.]
[The knock is met with a chorus of croaks from the other side. There is some shuffling, and then the door opens. Agatha's eyes widen comically and she blinks.]
Where were you, your majesty? We were all worried! What's wrong? Are you hungry?

[Maybe. Edgar wouldn't have told Rumple anything outside of an honesty meme, but it's possible he's just that good at stalking out information. Either way, what happened happened.
And Edgar's fairly unchanged if his response is anything to go by, which is an eyeroll and;] Of course I'm not hungry. [He looks a little dishevelled, but seems to be healthy. In that he's not been shot anywhere.] Can I come in? [He's feeling a little exposed out here, you see.]
Of course. It's kind of messy, so... [It really is kind of messy. It's a small apartment and it's crammed full of odds and ends, not to mention the little toads hopping everywhere. There are some open packs of crackers and cookies lying around too.]
[Messy doesn't bother him. He's been 'in hiding' for the past couple of months, after all. When needs must, kings will stay in hovels. Not that they won't whine about it. He'll politely make to walk past her and into the place.] Thank you.
[She lets you in and shuts and locks the door. The toads scatter in front of you as he walk.] Are you staying long? Do you want Miller to know you're here, or not?
[He looks exasperated.] I... earlier today. I ate loads. You'd have been proud. [:|]
I don't know and probably not yet. I'd kind of like... [He grimaces slightly, looking around at the toads, wondering why in the world he even came here.] A bit of a break.
Well, you can look at it, then. We'll end up eating it if you don't, don't worry about it going to waste. [Putting bits of lunchmeat~]
Well, we've all been wondering. Some of us think you're on the run from somebody. Some of us think you ran off with somebody because you got bored of Miller. The last one sounds kind of iffy to me, but I don't know. I mean, like, you might've. Did you?
People seriously think I'm the kind to randomly elope? And leave Miller in the flat I'm paying for? No, I was-, it was just a necessary thing. [He runs a hand through his hair, which isn't looking as glossy and pampered as usual. Oh man.]
[She notices the look. Stops making the sandwich and goes over to feel your head.] Are you sick? Is that why you ran off? The toads sometimes run off and hide when they're sick. I didn't know people did it too...
You look sick. [Tries to hug you.] I wish you'd tell me what's wrong. I can't help if I don't know what the problem is.
Everyone else seems fine, so far. Miller was very upset when you didn't go home. I think she's accepted it by now. But you should have left, like a note or something. That's what polite people do when they run away.
I don't need help. [He doesn't hug back, but allows the hug. W-wibble.]
Yes, I'd wondered what the etiquette was. I would have left a note if I'd had time. You're included in 'everyone', by the way, and I'd have thought you could give a more definitive answer than 'seeming fine'. It's been a while. Found your prince yet?

Either way, he's knocking on her door. Surprise?]

You've been taking a bit of a break from all of us for a while. Is something wrong?

Hm. [He kind of shakes his head.] Has anyone said anything to you? I mean, what does everyone think I've been doing?
